Black Rock

At the entrance to Loch Portree is 'Black Rock' or Sgeir Mhor. It is this rock as much as anything that helps to shelter the natural anchorage within.

The path is a popular walk for locals and visitors; we walk this way regularly when we exercise our dog, 'Lucy'. It is along this path that we feed a Robin during the winter months. It is so tame it will eat from your hand.
