Montbretia (Crocosmia)

It poured down this morning and my back garden is like a bog. When I went out my new visitor / resident, the frog, was splashing about all over the place, seemingly just for fun. 

This flowering plant invaded my garden from next door. I don't mind that at all, but I might  have to cut it back a bit next year. Each year it seems to take over more and more of the garden. 

You have probably guessed that I don't really have a managed garden. Everything tends to come and go as it pleases.
