Saponaria vaccaria
It's been the wettest day, and hasn't let up for a second-going from heavy rain to very heavy!
I didn't teach at the allotment today, just fed plants in the poly tunnel, washed the poly tunnel-seemed a good day to do it with the rain helping and got the photographic journal up to date.
This is a plant that is new to me, it is a soapwort-From the Latin “sapo” soap. The flowers and leaves can be used to make shampoos etc. I like its delicate nature.
The sun is promised to come out tomorrow.
