37 years!

Today was our 37th wedding anniversary Kevin took a rare week day off work and we ventured into Manchester (dropped off and picked up by Martin & Cat so we could avoid public transport) visited a couple of bars for a drink good social distancing practised in both although technology got the better of us in the second place, they had a QR code on the table so you could download their menu, order and pay contactlessly but 20mins of poor WiFi we were still waiting for pages to load- we gave up and spoke directly to the bar tender. It was worth it! Then off for a meal at Street Urchin, a lovely restaurant that prides itself on English market produce, I had mushroom dumplings followed by calves liver, Kevin had rabbit hash then hanger steak with peppercorn sauce it was all really delicious! a lovely way to spend our day.

In other news - I had the interview for the secondment yesterday, heard today that I was unsuccessful but that I’d done really well and got very good feedback. I wasn’t expecting to get it but wanted the interview experience and to plant some seeds..... so it was a successful endeavour
