Goldentoe

This is the statue of philosopher David Hume on the Royal Mile. I pass it every day, but only noticed his golden toe today as when I passed this morning a tourist (or maybe it was a student) was posing for a photo with her hand on the toe. Apparently rubbing his toe has become a tradition among students looking for good luck for their exams.
