It's not a glamorous pic because its cooling in the tin and will continue to do so after I've gone to bed.
I'll ice it tomorrow once I've got cream for ganache.

Oh this fortnight has been a killer.
Just vile.
Not just because Mr KP has been away so much. I can do that ok if I have to. It's just been a whole heap of stuff on top of some crappy health issues.

I tell you one thing, you find out where your friends are.
Where the friend you can text any time about any thing is despite living miles apart
Where the friend who stops the car to hug you whilst you sob in the street is
Where the friend who instantly responds to a "help! I started baking and I don't have enough eggs and I can't go out cos the kids are in bed!" is (across the road, conveniently..)
and who the friends are that know you're troubled and gently check on you with a text or email here or there.

One more day of busy stuff to go then Mr KP is home, the kids are on half term, it's the weekend and fingers crossed, I can breathe again..
