Realistic Giraffe

When my children were very young, I liked to make soft toys for them. One of the books that I still have is entitled "Modern Soft Toy Making" by Margaret Hutchings. The book has patterns and instructions for dozens of toys from a Baby's Ball to a fantastic Dragon made from felt and wire.
Taking the book out recently to choose a pattern for one of my grandchildren, I was captivated once again by the beautiful felt toys in the pictures. The patterns are all full size, and the instructions are straightforward but detailed!
The Realistic Giraffe stands at 17 inches tall !
But I rather fancy making the colourful Perching Parrot !
