Not a head in sight as they are tucked up ready for the night - or perhaps they are snoozing until a lower water level to search for dinner!

The spoonbills don’t usually congregate on this particular stony patch. Usually they are on a more distant piece of higher ground or early morning they can be found perching on a lone tree on the other side of the road. 

If you want to see a spoonbill in flight and others sitting in their favourite tree this is a photo taken earlier this year.



Thank you for the comments and stars for yesterday’s spring flower. In the past I always knew these as snowdrops, but discovered, according to the experts that they were in actual fact snowflakes and the dainty blooms I knew as snowflakes are actually snowdrops.
