Berry Picking

I was fascinated watching the young blackbird flying up to snatch berries from the berberis. It was right outside the window so I was trying to get the shots without being seen.

Not a perfect shot by any means, I was lucky the berry was actually in the frame! A lot of shots were rejected as the auto focus kept catching the  branches and the manually focused shots weren't successful at this close range. 

It was fun trying, that's the main thing and proving to myself that I really do need at least 1/4000th of a second to freeze flight in garden birds.
