wild explosion

This morning I went on a hike with two friends on the same trail over seven bridges that I did with my grandsons four weeks ago. My, how the fauna and flora change every time I go! And how sweet the memories of seeing and hearing those boys around every corner.
This photo of a seed head exploding out of its pod captured my feelings exactly! How can things have gone to seed already, when so much was just blooming a few weeks ago? There is such energy and wild beauty in young seeds (grandsons) bursting forth.
It was a great morning hike.
