Waterlogged building site

This is the building site across our back fence. Unfortunately preparations for laying the concrete slab coincided with the coming of the rain.
 
The last time we took such an interest in a waterlogged building site  it was our own, when we started renovations to our house in Sydney. Then, too, the digging of the foundations coincided with torrential rain.
 
Inevitably Kate, the less bright beagle, fell into a deep trench full of muddy brown water. Poor Kate.
