Beach Day!

Practice was very hard this morning and left me with very little energy for anything other than lying on the beach which is exactly what we did! We drove south to Kihei, which is meant to be the hottest area in Maui. The beach was right next to a highway but very quiet with hardly any people around. As we drove on to the town centre (which turned out to be somewhat of a retail park/mall) we passed lots of luxury hotels and accommodation. We are discovering that different parts of Maui are extremely different in character! We are very lucky with the northern part, more locals and small towns with plenty character and atmmosphere.

After couple of hours of doing nothing by the sea, we stopped to have a coffee which was one of the best ones I've ever had! Mexilatte - latte with Mexican chocolate and spices. Choose from three different sizes, from four different milks, whipped cream or not, hot or cold...... Only in America!
