Durar Bothy - Home for the Night
Day 2 we slept here - my 1st bothy. It was another 45 mile day from Loch Lochy to this bothy near Balachuilush or Appin. We spent ages hiking up and down the forrest till we finally found the place at 9pm. Great relief all round as it was expected to rain. Bothies are a Scottish tradition/institution/thing (also in North England and Wales) where huts are maintained by volunteers to be used by all and any. We got the place to ourselves. We could have been sharing with others but we got it to ourselves. Good nights sleep had by all except maybe daughter as her camping mat deflated in the night.
