White Faced Heron

Photographed at Otipua Wetlands here in Timaru. I was originally after the spoonbill that Rainie blipped, I did see as I entered the wetland however I spooked it as I was trying to sneak up for a good position to get a photograph. I spent an hour or so searching for it but it must have flown to another part of the wetlands, which incidently are turning into drylands at the moment. On my way out of the wetlands I managed to photograph the White Faced Heron. Which I pretty happy about. I will go back another day and hopefully get a shot of the spoonbill.
