Along the Canal

We met Maureen and Ian at The View this afternoon for a pot of tea and a chat.  The weather has been extremely hot and sunny today, luckily we found a table outside with an umbrella.

After drinks we took a walk along the Stratford upon Avon canal, which runs by The View, towards Bearley.  It was too hot to walk very far (for me), though ideal for taking photos of the flowers and insects (see extra, bee on blackberry blossom).  We just walked to Bearley Lock.  The picture is M&I approaching Bridge 56.

This evening I made a roasted salmon saag aloo for tea.
