Found the ants

I found out where the ants went: deeper. Can you see the holes? At least one ant has just emerged from one of them.

What I find most interesting is the lighter smooth soil on the middle right hand side compared to the darker bitty soil on the left. We reckon the bitty soil is the soil that the ants have dug up to rebuild their home. The bits look pretty uniform in size.
