Cambus o May
It’s been a dull, overcast day with little wind - perfect for a big cycle with a pal. We starred in Aboyne and took in Tarland and Loch Kinord before joining the old Deeside line at Dinnet and pedalling to Ballater for a coffee stop. Fortified with coffee we headed north to Gairnshiel lodge and over the hill to Balmoral. Then back along the south Deeside road to Ballater for lunch (a pie, yum yum and coke - fantastic ) , before riding back to Aboyne on the old railway line. A grand outing.
The blip is the lovely suspension bridge over the Dee at Cambus O May damaged in the big flood of 2015 and still to be repaired.
