Urunga Wetlands Conservation Area
What an amazing walk we had today. I had been told by Deb, the manager of the Urunga Caravan Park about a Wetland that had been recently reclaimed after five years of devastating mining activity in the mid 1970’s. Nothing could prepare us for what we were about to witness. It is now a glorious sanctuary for all types of birdlife and for the first time in my life I was able to take an image of a Black Swan sitting on It’s nest. It was a site to behold. I have added an extra image of a large view of one area of the Wetlands.
It’s time to pack up and head home to Wombat Hollow tomorrow after a couple of weeks of action packed adventure. I have many images I want to share with you and will be back blipping many over the next few days.
Thanks for you warm messages yesterday. I feel all warm and fuzzy after reading such heartfelt comments.
