American Goldfinch

More color in the garden ( and another back blip). It’s so fascinating to watch the birds. We are now official “bird nerds” :—). We have had so many nesting and raising young on our property. Orchard Orioles, bluebirds, Northern Cardinals, Carolina wrens, brown thrashers, mockingbirds, dove, and I’m pretty sure there’s a blue-gray gnatcatcher nest in the eves of the house. We’ve also seen juvenile goldfinches. I’m sure they’ve always been here. We just have slowed down enough to notice.
We cut some low limbs out of the yard yesterday. I got in the front end loader of the tractor and Hubs raised me up so I could cut limbs. We had more than a few laughs about that!
Hubs is mowing yards all day today. I plan to deliver eggs to a friend and get a few
groceries. I need to vacuum and mop. We will see if that gets done. :—)
