Can't stand the excitement!

Team Chipmunk leader Spunky was nearly overcome with nerves this morning as she watched Team Great Golden Digger Wasp working tirelessly on their burrowing routine.You can see from the dirt on her face that she'd been working on her own routine, but unfortunately, the teamwork is really a problem this year for Team Chipmunk.  There have been constant bouts of bickering and hurling of insults.  In fact, reigning champ Xena was overheard muttering "what a bunch of prima donnas" under hear breath.  This reporter will be keeping a sharp eye on Team Chipmunk.

Meanwhile, Team Hummie's members are finally starting to arrive and have been seen zooming around the arena working on various routines.  They are not without their own drama as the two male stars, P-Hummie and Attila the Hummie, have been heard exchanging some very spicy language while hurling insults at each other.

Yes, folks, it is promising to be a very thrill-filled Alternative Olympic Games this year!  

I'm thrilled to have Doingok, Beckett, Pipersmom and Randomangel on the International Panel of Judges this year.  And I look forward to seeing the daily reports from around the world as the Games get underway tomorrow (1 August)
