Winter garden

There was still frost in the shadows and ice on the puddles when we arrived at Polesden Lacey this morning, but the spring sunshine had enticed me out and I tempted Normous to come with me with the promise of a cup of coffee.

Most of the garden at Polesden is still colourless but in a far corner you can find this Winter Garden. There are cyclamen and hellebores in different beds, but it was this carpet of aconites and snowdrops that attracted my blip eye. There are more pictures here.
