Dragonfly weather...

so headed up to this hillside where there are some wonderful pools. Sure enough, spent ages watching a beautiful male Hawker, hunting and feeding. At one point he snapped at a damselfly! Lots of damselfly activity. However, for an extra decided to go with this Snipe, not often seen, usually escaping rapidly, but his one was sheltering under a bank above the lochan. I approached quietly as I was looking dragons.
A wonderfully hot and sunny day, at least ten degrees warmer than yesterday and twenty degrees warmer than Monday. There was the bonus of a gentle breeze too so really comfortable walking.
Watched the young Sparrowhawks demonstrating their skill in the skies too. They nest in this area.
