Yewtrimmin

Some pretty hefty tree works today.  One ash had to come right down because of die-back disease, and we'd got permission to reduce two yews, one to raise the crown, one to bring back to a sensible size.  This one in particular had got out of control since it was probably a pretty little topiary at the top of some steps in about 1880...

A tricky operation as access was difficult and there was nowhere to drop the branches as it was over the shrub bed / railway - so lots of careful ropework.
