Star Thistle

I am in Perthshire for a few days, the weather has been glorious. Today we went swimming in a river in Braemar , had a picnic and took in the scenery . Magical.

My son was fascinated by this flower in my dads garden, and my dad couldn’t remember the name of it . We discovered it’s name was Large headed Star-Thistle .
Had never heard of it . Very bright and cheerful .
