Here's looking at you...
I went to watch squirrels again this morning, in Glenarm Forest, but was a bit too late to catch the best of the quiet times. Walking back through the village, it started to rain and I spotted a place to shelter in a corner, under the stone bridge over the river.
This proved to be swallow-central: youngsters queuing up to be fed, parents swooping to and fro, catching insects over the water.
The parents were too shy to come close, but the youngsters were engrossed in watching out for their next meal and not worried about me. I moved on quickly though, to give the harassed mums and dads a chance to catch up.
