A strange photo

This is one of my scanned slides from Peru in 1987. Euclides was the name of the armed guard on the Lima-Huancayo train. I  notice in this photo that he seems to be zapping my friend, Peter, with a blue laser beam. It has taken me 33 years to notice this.
