Hedgerow
I wanted a record of what the country lane is like where I go for my jog.
At the moment the meadow sweet, Filipendula ulmaria, gives off a lovely scent and the cranesbill gives that gorgeous splash of purple, along with the vetch. This is the only road where I know I could find the great burnet, Sanguisorba officinalis. It's documented as once being used in Cumbria to make wine. Indeed it was, we did, at least once!
