Rural England
As we were driving home early this evening, my wife heard me gasp as we passed this field. The low evening sun was glancing across this harvested field, giving it a golden glow and highlighting the textures created by the tractor and plough.
"Do you want to stop?" she said.
"Yes!" I said, quickly pulling into a convenient layby.
We then spent a little while enjoying the scene and taking a few photographs.
Is this a typical rural England scene? The pub, almshouses and church seen across the newly cropped field might suggest this. However, this is a village just outside the M25 ring road around London, part of our precious green belt around the city and just on the edge of our small town.
Long may the green belt be preserved.
