Sadness

I found this sculpture tossed into a skip at an address that I was working at some years ago. I couldn't believe that someone would do that!
He or she was badly scratched and a chunk had been knocked off it's head which only seemed to emphasize it's melancholic looking appearance.
I took it home with me and sort of polished it up as best as I could and it now has it's forever home underneath the bird table and often has a robin standing on it.
It still has a sad look about it, even though it is now cared for and oiled regularly.
