The Butte Du Lion

The Butte du Lion was erected at the Battle of Waterloo in 1826. It took six years to complete and has 226 steps to get to the top!

I have climbed it a few times. On a regular day it is windy up there I can't imagine how cold and windy it was today!

Wish I had my camera & zoom with me to show you a better capture. He really is a majestic lion watching over the land!
