The Old Coach Road

Runs from Matterdale Common to St Johns In The Vale and is one of the many old pony routes scattered across the Lakes. I suppose you could say that it was the original A66!!

The morning was wet and rubbish so once it cleared out I popped to Penrith to do some shopping and on my way back drove down to Glenridding which was packed with people so didn’t stop.

At the moment people think that they have the right to park anywhere so consequently driving down the A592 is a nightmare especially near Aira Force.

This was the only place I could think of which would be quiet and thankfully I was proven to be right. Really enjoyed stretching my legs and taking a few photos.
