Day at the zoo

Woke by the alarm.......we were up and ready by 9.30, waiting for middle son, DiL and their 4 girls.

The original plan was to go to Chester Zoo, but it was so busy, we couldnt get a slot for 8 of us...so after a little bit of research son plumped for Blackpool Zoo.....what a good decision that was! Excellent value for money, They had it well under control, social distancing, hand sanitising stations everywhere. We took our own picnics so didnt have to worry about the cafe areas. The only thing we bought was ice creams.

Really easy to see the animals, hardly any queuing....the girls all enjoyed themselves, as did us grown ups ;-).

The otters were our favourites, such little show offs.....but boy are they fast!!! I was really happy with this shot..... utmit was hard to choose between this and the sunbathing sea lions in extras ;-) Theres also a collage of us all, the girls are growing up so fast, the older two are both taller than me now!!

We left via the Gift Shop, the two little ones both had birthday money left over and wanted to spend it....a fluffy penguin, a blue dinosaur and a pink monkey all joined us on he trip home.

All back to ours briefly, to collect sons car, then they headed off, via daughters house, something to drop off and collect.

Hub and I made a cuppa and sat in the garden for a while, the sun was nice and warm too.

Its been a quick coronation chicken salad for dinner this evening.

I didnt go for a run yesterday......no time today, nor tomorrow as Im off to meet sis, so maybe later in the week ;-)
