Wasn’t looking for a mono picture but managed a better shot to show the height of the conifers near work and then spotted the theme for was fir or fur and with a little poetic licence I think my chosen photo is a suitable contribution.
The extra is more feathers than fur, as I approached the tree I could here the loudest birdsong and could just spot the serenader up high in the branches, the photo really doesn’t do justice to his size or the vividness of his red breast! If you look carefully in the middle of the thumb nail you might spot him (the small light dot) he was certainly very proud of himself puffing out his chest and shouting from the tree tops
