2007 Monday — 60th Birthday

My older sister and I had gone years without communicating. So for her 60th birthday on November 19, 2007, I sent her flowers.

She moved from SoCal during the summer after she graduated from high school in 1965. Basically, she followed our Dad to Oregon because he told her she could have his car if she’d come to Portland to get it. She did and never returned.

We stayed in touch till about the late 1970s. I honestly don’t know why we stopped communicating.

The birthday bouquet opened the door and our conversation was positive.
