HAPPY 89TH BIRTHDAY MUM

It's now very late but wanted to try and get a blip on here today.

Had a lovely day with Mum, Sister, Hubby and G for Mum's 89th Birthday  t wasn't as planned due to the weather but we still enjoyed it.

Picked Sis up from Lancaster, no problems getting through the city, then onto Mum's, who was patiently waiting for us.

We drove along Morecambe Sea Front but you couldn't see across The Bay today.   We did call into Levens Hall, but just as we arrived the heavens opened - the car park was full so we decided that if the Kitchens Cafe was open there would be along queue, which is not good in this weather so we'll go back another day, perhaps when weather is better.

We just came home and had coffee here.  

Mum opened all her cards and presents, which was much more fun than doing them at home on her own.  It's the first time ever that Mum has woken up on her birthday in the house on her own.  Still it wasn't for long.
after a simple sandwich lunch we then we spent the afternoon chatting and reminiscing.  I got out an old photo album and we had a good laugh at how we used to look at times.

Then much later we had our evening dinner and another coffee before I took them both home.  Boy was it windy on the Mt, had difficulty at times keeping the car straight, but otherwise no problems at all. 

All in all a good day, especially for Mum.  Shame we didn't get around Levens Hall gardens, but we have that pleasure to come.  Tickets are valid up until 1st October - so plenty of time yet.
