Tiles

Today we spent most of the afternoon carefully removing the grout and then the modern dining room tiles from around the fireplace. As we've had the old fireplace removed we need to put new tiles down to cover the hole and we decided it was better to do whole tiles rather than partial ones. We found these original hand made tiles underneath the modern 45x45 cm ceramic tiles. They are more interesting but rather dark (typical for Brittany) and rather irregular.
