Diversionary tactics
Nothing will encourage me to clean a kitchen more than a looming proposal. I’ve got to work on a funding application for our Mozambique honey enterprise idea for an internal deadline in a week or so. By the end of the week who knows what extreme cleaning measures I’ll be taking to distract myself.
Diversionary tactics is also a very apt phrase for pretty much any public announcement or story that our government puts out. Diverting the public’s attention from the true unfairness of their ideology. This notice on the wall of a closed down pub, the Hopbine, in central Cambridge, emphasised the frustrations of many of us.
