Light a candle for peace

Tonight I lit a candle for peace as requested by John Hume’s family. His body was brought to Derry Cathedral tonight and I watched the service online. The words that struck me most during the service were “ Peace is not something done for us but is something done by us”. My thoughts are with my friend and her family as they prepare for tomorrow.
