Our banana plants

Pip gave me a small runner from his banana plants which he grows in his Bristol back garden, very successfully. There is the city's warmth they grow to the height of small apple trees. No bananas yet though.

I've had the main plant for a few years and last year after potting it on in a bigger pot, a small runner appeared. This year, after overwintering the pot in the slightly heated cabin, I've made an effort to water and protect the pot's residents.

Now a new runner has just appeared and I'm intending to do a major repotting of the three of them into separate locations. I think the original plant is going in the ground and the smaller two will stay in newly refreshed soil in separate pots. The newest offshoot is hidden in this picture between the two plants. Come back later, maybe in a couple of years?
