Blew in...

on the SE wind from hurricane Isaias. We have never seen Plovers on our beach before. This one seemed dazed for quite a while. It must have gotten it together because the last time we checked it was gone. We had an EF 1 tornado early this morning. We have been up since before 4:00 am when the warning sounded. The tornado was around 6:30 am. The damage was in a small old Navy housing neighborhood where we own a rental home. It was spared any damage but the yard did flood. Our home was also spared but again we had flooding, wind gusts to 55 mph and over 7" of rain. The sunflowers and garden took a beating and is flooded. We staked what we could sinking in 5" or more if we stepped off the boards we were using to navigate through the rows. Plenty of work to do tomorrow to get things back to normal. As always feeling Blessed and grateful for it.
