Hungry?

Friday at last! This has been a busy and long week and I'm looking forward to getting away and catching up with friends. I had some fun lessons today. My Year 8s were doing presentations on different aspects of the USA and one group chose to do New York City and did a little role play about The Empire State Building. This is how it went:

Boy 1 (looks up at the Empire State Building in awe): 'It's huge! It's so big!'
Boy 2 ( smiles, walks past him and responds): 'That's what she said too'.
Boy 1 ignores comment and starts to give facts about how high it is and how many people it took to build whilst the rest of us recover from the shock of that cheeky moment!

It all happened so quickly! It was comedy genius! But obviously a little inappriopriate. I was so surprised by it that it made me laugh out loud. I then had to remind the boys about appropriate jokes in lessons. (Nice one boys! I won't forget that one in a hurry! :-) )

After work we all went out for an all-you-can-eat-chinese buffet from the Wing Wah and ate and ate. A great way to end the week. It's just as well I'm doing a 5.5 mile run tomorrow morning. Happy Friday everyone!
