Unforeseen circumstances

There now follows a slight hiatus in our passage up the Clyde. As you can see, the good ship Cygnus is high and dry!

The Ards Man is wrestling with the propeller shaft even as I write and plans to fit a new seal. We’re trusting there will be no ingress of water from then on!

The propeller is encrusted with barnacles, so they will have to be removed from their cosy home, too.

Now to work!

PS that mound of mussels on the ground at the back of our boat came from a previous craft; our bottom was fairly clean.....
