Cleaning up

Glad we shuttered the windows otherwise this limb would have come through the bedroom window!

We lost power at 11:30pm and then at 1:30am got a horrible jolt when this limb collided with our house.

Power was out for a total of 14 to 15 hours but we had the generator to keep the fridge going and run a couple of fans as well as do our power station area for our electronics. The generator could power more for us but that’s what was needed.

The couple of damaged shingles were replaced by Kent and our good friend Jason. Kent then spent the remainder of the morning (until 2pm) cleaning the debris from the front yard.

I took care of the important things like getting the bird feeders back out and staking up the lilies that had been beaten down. Ran out of garden stakes and so began using my garden art decorations as stakes!  

What is the most important is that we are safe and well and the friends and family we contacted are too.
