Garden...
…………………..…Visitor
A waxeye, also known as silvereye, enjoying the flesh of a pear and today’s sunshine.
Such delightful wee birds and it is always a pleasure seeing them in the garden. They colonised in New Zealand from Australia in the 1850s and now well established throughout the country.
Update - at Beckett's suggestion I am adding the tag AOG20205. As we all know, athletes must partake of high energy food to compete and perform at the highest level - and that's just what this wee fella is doing!
Many thanks for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s naked trees and swirling fog.
