Social Distancing – Day 130
Although this is not one of my more memorable images it has some significance as to the passing of the seasons. When I first circumnavigated Arthur’s Seat in lockdown, probably early April, I was accompanied by a chorus of bird song as I walked up along the path you see disappearing round to the right and it has been with me on every day I’ve done the walk all be it getting less frenetic as summer progresses until I noticed today that it was silent, only the traffic noise from the road was audible. I don’t suppose I’ll hear much now till next year, even if we cope with the virus and things get back to the new normal I’ll still be traipsing round the hill come autumn, winter and spring.
