Picnic on the Rock!

A fun thing to do if you (mum) need cheering up is going on an outing. With a picnic! Yay! My favourite kind.

So we went to the cattle-free bird lake and watched the coot babies, who were tiny and much too close to the walkway last time, swim around happily in the lake. Mum was relieved that there seemed to be many of them still. 

We “took” an orienteering pole, which means we found it and logged the code online, and then went to climb the big rock for our egg sandwich picnic. It’s great! We just sit there and enjoy life in the middle of the forest. 

Mum’s phone died so we couldn’t take any more poles today. So we walked back to the dog club and had a few runs on the agility field. Great outing!
