Day 142

Day 5 of AOG
Some sad reporting from the Surrey arena today. The pigeon team have had to pull out due to a fatality. Sonny was hit by a car at the crossing this morning . Not sure what happened but the whole team are understandably devastated.
In the pond the babies are doing very well after the training yesterday from the pond skaters. They will definitely  be taking part in the relay, all 4 of them
We aLso visited the Berkshire arena , mainly to get coffee and cake and wAtched the Red Kites practising their gliding. Rudy is definitely in with a chance to win gold. They are very shy birds when it comes to the camera and often decline to be photographed or even interviewed . Hoping to see them in action at the main event next week.  Rudy can often be seen over the Surrey arena too. He has perfected the gliding from thermal to thermal very well.
