Lockdown ( take 2)

The day started well with a dog walk on a dry warm day then a nice coffee and scone with the chief.

At mid day my brother in law texted suggesting we switch on Nicola’s press conference as he’d heard on the grapevine that bad news was coming.......

Sure enough, at 12 15 we learnt that Aberdeen City was being locked down again due to a rapid rise of Covid cases predictably centred around city centre pubs. So all pubs and restaurants are closed and we can’t go more than 5 miles from our home.

I’m totally in agreement with what we have to do but with Scotland’s heavy binge drinking culture this was all too predictable. I feel very sorry for everyone in the hospitality trade and for us it’s not a huge imposition. We’re due to go to Perthshire for a 5 day break in a fortnight and I guess that won’t happen and my sister was flying up from London to see our parents this weekend and that has been cancelled - that’s a pity as they were looking forward to getting together.
