You can tell there is a new boat in the bay as it has been blipped tonight more than once. I liked the yellow ragwort against the bright red hull when I went for my evening walk and it had at last stopped raining. Over 60mm fell here yesterday but where the landslip occurred I heard there was 1020mm of rain

Teenager managed to get home about 4pm as the floods had subsided from yesterday and although the Rest is still closed, and will be for some time as it has 6000t of debris on it, the alternative route had one lane open so was on traffic lights. It did make her journey 1hr and 20 min longer which is not much fun on the bus for over 4hrs and a train journey before that. but she is home for a few weeks until term starts again.
