Yes it's the Bearded Vulture

At roost in Longdendale on it's holidays from the Alps.

We didn't get to see it fly but still worth a look.

Only the 2nd ever recorded in the UK and has been in the news for a few weeks now. 

Everyone worried for it's safety ( the area is renown for illegal persecution of birds of prey)  but with all the public interest I reckon it will be OK.
